What time do you typically arrive for your DVC stay?

we try to get in between check in and dinner. Just makes everything easier, not having to wait for a room, etc.

We might do a nighttime show or dinner in a park the first night of our stay, but that is about it.

That's the beauty of an AP and DVC... no hurry to see it all each time!

Usually after 9PM. We take the last direct flight from our local airport after work. That way we arrive the night before and our “first” day is a full day.

JetBlue sometimes decides to cancel that flight, so we have to do the last southwest flight which departs a few hours earlier, but still arrives around 6PM.

We typically take the first direct flight in, which leaves sometime between 6-9am. We very rarely go to the parks on the first day, opting for pool time instead! Flying with a toddler, the earlier flight allows me more peace of mind that there is less likely a chance that my flight will be delayed and leave us stranded at the airport 😅

We are doing a redeye on this trip and arriving at 6am. Hope i dont regret it 🤣🤣 i am a point hoarder so our plan is just to drop the bags off at bell desk and go straight to a character dining and then relax by the pool until the room is ready

Omg! I always regret when I take a 6am flight and have to be awake by 3am…I cannot imagine ARRIVING at 6am lol!

I feel like arriving at 6 is almost better than departing at 6! And I would do the same, I’m not using points for a room the night before in that situation.

We try to arrive around 1-2 depends how long our grocery stop takes.

We drive, it's a long drive but my family hates flying and they like to shop. Now that I'm older, we have to break it up and do 10 hours, stay in the Carolinas and then the last 8 hours. Try to arrive by check-in time.

We like the morning direct flights. Typically we fly out of Providence on SW and it's a 6:30am or so flight. Never do a park day 1 and will drop bags at bell services and hang at the pool till the room is ready.

I like to get in by noon, but that means a weekend arrival due to our lack of direct flights (usually Saturday). Mostly chill by the pool and grab lunch until the room is ready, but this year there is a tiger cub I want to go see so I am dropping my bags and headed to AK!!!

Thankfully there are three airlines that fly direct from Buffalo to MCO, SW, JB, and Frontier, so we usually have multiple options. Although I’m somewhat price sensitive, we usually take the earliest flight to Orlando and then the latest for the return. This maximizes are time there.

We used to do early flights but I’m just not a fan of waiting around for the room (or heading to the park, etc.) so now we try to time it for a late afternoon arrival. We never usually plan anything for that first night except an Instacart delivery.

Depending on what is going on that day anywhere between 11am and 4pm on average.

When friends are staying with us we tend to meet in the resort parking lot around noon so we can do a little tailgating before the room is ready.
We will bring collapsible chairs and a collapsible table, open up the backs of our SUVs have some and snacks and relax. When the room is ready we pack up and move it to the room.

In the past at the Wilderness Lodge we have met early enough to get a cabana by the DVC pool and set up our tailgate there. Same thing as above, when the room is ready we move it to the room.

flights from Rochester NY get me to the hotels around 1 or 2pm. I have a 50% success rate at having a room ready. Always ready with a swimsuit or to go to a park if room is not ready.

We retired to just south of Atlanta to optimize our WDW auto travel. At 68 yo, we have now settled into wheels up at 10 am with arrival around 4:30 pm. Perfect for check-in, an evening park visit and dinner.

My VERY first trip we took a train down from Mass. 26 hours later....

My wife and I now live west coast. our first trip we left early early and after flight and connector on SW we didn't arrive until 8pm. we hated it so since then we have flown red eye. Alaska offers a direct Red eye to Orlando from SEA (nearly every night of the week) and gets us into Orlando typically 730-0800.

It's perfect in our opinion. get to the resort, get checked in and get our bags checked before heading out to get breakfast and spend a lazy morning in the park or resort hoping I added a day this trip on another reservation to be able to do this and still get our waterpark the next day when my sister and her kids get there.
