Booking a Vacation package

Ds and I enjoyed the Snuggly Duckling and I LOVE the special merch that I bought with my meal! I'd go back there again.
We also enjoyed Snuggly Duckling - a decent meal and a really fun place to eat. It was quite full when we went, but eventually a table opened for us! We'd also go back.

So I thought that Snuggly Duckling was a QS (or at least find your own table) type situation-- but I see with the vacation packages that you can choose it as one of your options... does that mean you will have a reserved table or only that you've prepaid?

Is there any advantage to reserving Snuggly Duckling as part of the vacation package?

No advantage unless you want to pre pay for the meal so it’s already budgeted for. I also think it’s slightly more expensive to book the restaurant through the vacation package. There’s no “reserved” section for vacation packages. If you don’t want to deal with mobile order (which isn’t that hard to use) on the day-of, then you can book it through your vacation package, otherwise, you’ll be fine waiting to mobile order on your DisneySea day.

FWIW, I didn't take any of the non-included meals when I did the VP in April. There aren't many choices, and at places that don't have many choices in the first place. Better, IMO, to mobile order and/or use your reservation early advantage to book a table for TS places.

Agreed. It is QS and you find your own seats!

We have found it very stressful to try and find four seats together at many of the quick service spots around the TDR and I’m sure Snuggly Duckling will be pretty popular at the end of the year when we visit. Is it like the Disneyland (CA) mobile order where you can place an order at 9:00 for a 12:30 pick-up time and all the slots sell out early in the day?

It was extremely popular. We waited for a minute or 2 to get a table for 2. I will say, though, it seems like when people are done eating there and they see someone looking for a table, they will respectfully finish up and put a hand up to let them know the table is freeing up. When we ate there, it was very busy and the food was ok to decent - but it was a lot of fun. The theming in SD is absolutely amazing. I'd definitely do it again.
