Hi
Can someone please post an image of the park (like a satellite picture) with outlines of where POTC, HM, and Splash Mountain go underground. Also, what part of the rides take you underground. For POTC I assume its that first big drop. Does HM just go into a show building? Does Splash mountain go underground when theres that little drop with the hill after it?
Thanks!

I have looked at google earth for that same view, it is kind of cool. I have seen others but I don't recall where I found them.

The big perfect rectangle in the bottom left is the Indy building. For Indy, you travel underground as you go through the queue.

The building right above it is Pirates. You as you travel down the first drop, you are going underground.

The building to the left and above is Haunted Mansion (not the small rectangle). After you travel down the HM elevator, you walk out into the hallway, which is underground.

There's a small square next to the HM building, and that is Splash. It might go underground, but I'm not positive. I do know that it travels "beyond the berm" which is going outside of the train tracks (like Indy, PotC, and HM).

While POTC is below grade, technically, it's not underground as the building itself is quite visible.

I didn't think you actually went underground on Indiana Jones. Walking through the queue it feels like you're going down, however you just went up to get into the building. They do a good job of making you feel as though you are underground but if you look at the emergency exits along the way...you can clearly see daylight between the cracks of the doors. EDIT - Wait...at some point we must go under the railroad tracks I'm just not exactly sure when that happens. Towards the end of the queue I would imagine as towards the first/middle parts inside you can see the light under doors.

Most of the Haunted Mansion is in the building, above ground. But you must travel underground a bit to get beyond the railroad tracks.

Here are some satellite photos I made using google maps (because I am bored and not tired.)

Red = Haunted Mansion
Blue = Pirates
Yellow = Indiana Jones

Here's a close up of the Haunted Mansion. I like this because you can see the Mansion (that you see in the park) in the red square and then the big building that houses most of the ride behind it.

Hopefully this will put some of the underground speculation to rest.

While you do indeed go underneath the railroad tracks to reach the ride building of Indiana Jones you still don't venture underground. You may notice that when you leave the Main Street Station you're substantially elevated from the walkways. This remains apparent as you pass through the Jungle. Next time you take the train from Main Street to New Orleans Square look to your left or behind you during the "jungle" portion. You'll see the backstage areas in a few spots and they're at least 10 to 15 feet below the tracks. You cross over the Indiana Jones Queue right around the time the narrator goes, "Uh Oh. Did you hear that?" Just like you walk under the bridge that the train crosses when you enter and exit the park you're doing the same thing while entering and exiting Indiana Jones.

You do not go underground to get into the Indiana Jones building. The tracks are high enough to allow guests to pass underneath while entering the ride building.

I hope this clears a few things up.
