Do people really take like Tupperware containers to the HDDR and fill them with xtra food for the hotel room. Is this a thing?🤔

Not HoopDeDoo, but my sister used to take zip-top plastic bags into Boma and fill them up with desserts for back in the room later that night.

I’ve never seen anyone do this at any buffet anywhere. I can only imagine the look on my face if I did see someone do this at the HDDR 😳 - LOL!

I've been twice, and did not see that. Did you read somewhere that it's a thing?

Edited to add that I'm also not someone who pays attention to what other people are doing.

I am sure that people have done it. I wouldn't and have never witnessed it at a Disney buffet (never done HDDR), but I'm sure it happens.

Never have seen this at a buffet/AYCTE. I will admit to taking a banana or apple with me when I’ve had a breakfast buffet that I couldn’t eat and didn’t want it thrown out. I take ziplocks for snacks I’ve bought and can’t finish but definitely not seen in restaurants.

I’ve seen this at multiple buffets. It’s why some buffets now have a strict time limit to eat once seated. That still doesn’t deter people from doing it though.

It’s always a big tote like purse sitting on-top of an empty seat or table. Napkins are used to cover uneaten food. Then when no one is looking into the bag it goes.

HDDR is not a buffet though. I have not seen anyone taking food in the maybe 3 times I have gone since 2000 (but I don't pay much attention to what the people around me are doing). Any food on the table at HDDR would be thrown out, so I don't really care if someone takes it or not.

Years ago when I had a pre-park opening breakfast at Be Our Guest, where they automatically brought you a whole platter of pastries with breakfast, I absolutely took the pastries I didn't eat with me. I paid for them, so why not?

I've never seen this at Hoop dee doo but I do have a lot of stories from other Disney restaurants that I've worked at.

Last week at LTT , we had a lot of meat and rolls left. Our server offered to.box them . We declined as headed into the park
